Background
I am Ioannis Tsiros, a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist registered in both the UK (MBACP) and Greece, with over twelve years of professional experience.
My practice is grounded in post-existential and critical psychotherapy. For me, therapy is not about applying a sterile medical model or reducing your experience to diagnostic labels. Instead, it is a deeply human encounter. Drawing on the theoretical framework of Del Loewenthal, I prioritize relational communication and use everyday language to explore whatever brings you to therapy.
Whether we meet online or individually, my goal is to provide a space where you are met with genuine understanding, rather than clinical pathologization.
To ensure the highest ethical and professional standards in our work, I engage in continuous clinical training and supervision with esteemed existential and systemic institutes, including SAFPAC and Antistixi.
How I work
My approach is relational and post-existential: I hold that most of our struggles are lived through relationships — with others, with ourselves, and with the big questions of meaning, choice and mortality.
In practice, that means our sessions are collaborative and conversational. I will not hand you a manual. We pay attention to what you bring, how you relate, and what a more honest, freer life might look like for you.
Philosophy of care
People, not pathologies
You are not a diagnosis. We start from your lived experience and what matters to you, and work from there.
Understanding before advice
Lasting change grows from being genuinely understood — not from being told what to do.
Relationship as method
How we meet in the room mirrors how you meet life. It is both the subject and the vehicle of the work.
Freedom and honesty
A post-existential lens takes questions of meaning, choice and mortality seriously — gently, and together.
The first conversation is free — and there's no obligation.
